Role Overview

Network Engineer Apprentice

Working as part of the Operations team providing support to our customers, helping them to resolve any hardware or software problems. Attending customer sites with engineers installing hardware or software services. Logging faults on the ticketing system and maintaining full documentation. Escalating faults when required, keeping customer’s updated.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Installing, configuring, and troubleshooting different computer systems based on our customer and business requirements.
  • Installing, configuring, and testing appropriate hardware both physically and remotely.
  • Logging customer faults and requests through our ticketing system.
  • Providing end user technical support, diagnosing, and providing solutions to faults for hardware, software, and network services.
  • Work to RDS customer SLA thresholds.
  • Assisting the Operations team in the delivery on customer projects and services.
  • Establishing a good working relationship with the business and 3rd party’s.
  • Act upon monitoring systems for customers services.
  • Setup new hardware for customers such as PCs and Laptops.
  • Creating documentation such as how-to guides to add to our existing knowledge base.
  • Keeping customer asset records up to date.
  • Checking in and out goods from the business.
