Apprentice Finance Assistant

Role Overview

Roles & Responsibilities

The role will be centred around accountancy related duties working closely with the Finance Manager to ensure all accounting aspects of the business are supported.

The role duties will include but are not necessarily limited to the following:

Purchase Ledger – Weekly upkeep of supplier ledgers and payment lists. Attention to strict nominal coding & VAT. Reconciliation to supplier statements
Staff expense reconciliation UK&EUR – 1st point of contact for staff expense queries. Issue of weekly reports to heads of department with support of Finance Manager detailing position of accounts
Credit Control – Ideally a weekly task. Keeping strict register of responses received per overdue balance. Report to Finance Manager any findings
Manage Accounts Inbox & General Admin tasks – Distributing mail between yourself, Finance Officer & Finance Manager. Help with finance admin and filing of paperwork (including staff information)
