With over 30 years of experience in the financial services sector, Collier (pictured) brings deep expertise in alternative investments, private equity, real estate, and capital markets. as well as an extensive background in collective investments and asset servicing. He joins JTC with a proven track record of building strong client relationships and leading cross-border teams across Europe and beyond.

In his new role, he will lead JTC’s efforts to expand its ICS offering in Ireland, a key growth market for JTC. He will focus on enhancing the firm’s capabilities to serve fund managers, institutional investors, and corporate clients, building on JTC’s reputation for delivering exceptional service and innovative solutions.

Melanie Herbert, regional head of UK & Ireland for JTC’s ICS business, said: “We are thrilled to welcome Lloyd to our leadership team. Citigroup sells $70bn AUA global trust business to JTC https://international-adviser.com/citygroup-sells-70bn-aua-global-trust-business-to-jtc/ Mon, 16 Sep 2024 13:06:55 +0000 https://international-adviser.com/?p=309559 Global professional services provider, JTC, is to acquire Citi Trust, the global fiduciary and trust administration services business, from Citigroup.

In a statement today (16 September) JTC said the acquisition was “highly complementary to JTC’s existing footprint” and would “cement JTC’s position as the leading independent provider of global trust services”.

Citi Trust provides a full suite of tailored trust solutions, operating from seven high quality trust jurisdictions, namely New York, Delaware, South Dakota, Jersey, Singapore, Switzerland and the Bahamas. The total AUA serviced by Citi Trust is in excess of $70bn across over 2,000 UHNW client relationships, with an average tenure of 12+ years.

The acquisition brings with it an experienced senior management team with over 150 years of collective trust experience, supported by a skilled global employee base, the statement further said.

The acquisition is extremely complementary to JTC’s existing footprint.

James Clifford, Brett Bewey, Rene Engelbrecht and Rebecca Lee bring extensive industry experience and deep sector knowledge to their new roles.

James Clifford joins as senior director – fund service, bringing over 20 years of experience in financial services. His expertise in the construction and implementation of risk and compliance governance frameworks, as well as the structuring and administration of complex funds, will be integral to enhancing JTC Guernsey’s offerings in this dynamic sector.

Brett Bewey has been appointed as director – risk & compliance. With a robust background in regulatory compliance and risk management, Brett’s insights and strategic approach will be pivotal in ensuring JTC Guernsey remains at the forefront of regulatory adherence and operational excellence.

Rene Engelbrecht joins as senior manager – investor relations. Rene brings a wealth of experience in communications and stakeholder engagement. Her focus will be on fostering relationships with JTC’s investors, ensuring that the market is well-informed and delivering clear communications and regulatory updates about the Group’s performance.

Rebecca Lee joins JTC as senior manager – private client services. In her role, Kellyann (pictured) will be responsible for continuing to develop and grow JTC’s Jersey Private Office, working closely with colleagues across JTC Private Office’s multi-jurisdictional team to provide global families with a holistic and bespoke service built around their unique needs.

JTC Private Office provides a range of services to clients, with a specific focus on family governance, next generation education and succession planning and luxury asset services. It is part of JTC’s wider private client services team.

A qualified lawyer, Kellyann has almost two decades of experience, having worked in the UK and Jersey, primarily with private clients. She has particular expertise in advising clients on wealth structuring, asset protection, wills, estate planning and probate. Kellyann became the trusted advisor for many high net worth individuals and their families, including individuals who had relocated (or were in the process of) to Jersey.

Prior to joining JTC Private Office, she was a partner at offshore law firm Collas Crill where she worked for almost ten years, playing a key role in developing and growing the firm’s award-winning non-contentious Jersey private client and trusts team. A regular speaker at industry conferences, Kellyann has sat on Jersey working parties to help shape legislation and regulation. She has frequently been recognised in legal guides and private client industry awards. She is an Affiliate Member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP).

The FTSE-listed global service provider said on 16 July a number of those promotions are at senior level, with new senior directors including Jonathan Masters (Fund and Corporate Services) in London, Jose Andrade (Finance) and Katherine Wickham (Legal) in Jersey, and Nicolas Cesario and Shawn Wilson, both Private Client Services, in the US.

The promotions also include a number of new directors. They are Belen Garcia Mirri (Private Client Services), Brian Horner (Fund Services), Carece Rufe (Private Client Services), Ignacio Terrera (Private Client) and Victoria Pastore (Private Client) in the US; Deborah English (Business Operations), Hilary Jones (Fund Services) and Ping Ho (Business Development and Marketing) in Jersey; Cirsten Maes (Risk and Compliance) in Amsterdam; Lisa De Vos (Fund Services) in South Africa; Niklas Downham (perfORM Due Diligence Services) in Switzerland; and Vincent van den Brink (Fund and Corporate Services) in Luxembourg.

Promotions were made across JTC’s jurisdictional teams, including 51 in Jersey, 24 in the US, 21 in South Africa, and 11 in both the UK and Amsterdam, as well as a number across the Cayman Islands, Dubai, Guernsey, Ireland, the Isle of Man, Luxembourg, Mauritius and Switzerland.

Combined with the promotions made at the beginning of 2024, this latest round means that JTC has recognised the efforts, achievements and contribution to JTC’s ongoing success of more than 310 people across its diverse teams this year.
