The global investor services provider hired Diana Senanayake as managing director of its Luxembourg headquarters and regional chief executive for continental Europe.

She was previously at BNP Paribas Securities Services where she served as chief executive for southeast Asia.

UBS Asset Management

Hayden Briscoe has been named chief executive of the bank’s asset management arm in Hong Kong.

He is currently head of global emerging markets (GEM) and Apac for fixed income. Briscoe moved to Hong Kong in 2013 and joined UBS AM in 2016.

He reports to Raymond Yin, head of Apac at UBS AM.

Briscoe is taking over responsibility from Adolfo Oliete, also the current head of hedge fund solution (HFS) in Apac.

After being based in Hong Kong for the last seven years, Oliete is returning to London to continue his role as the Apac HFS head and as a member of the senior leadership team for the HFS global business.

JTC

Chares-Henry Courtois has taken on the role of regional head of Amea within the private client services division.

Based in London, he will focus on services across Asia, the Middle East and Africa.

Courtois joins from Bank of America Merrill Lynch where he spent the last 15 years, most recently as head of international trust and wealth structuring.

Ocorian

International fund administration firm Ocorian named Alice Miller as head of transformation.

She will be based in London and be responsible for delivering increased business value via a global transformation programme.

Most recently, she worked at Capgemini within the operational intelligence, post-acquisition integration, sales and business change teams.

Charles Russell Speechlyss

Nicola Saccardo has joined the law firm as a partner within the private client team in London.

He joins from Italian law firm Maisto which specialises in tax and estate planning.

Crestbridge

The global administration and management business promoted Brian Jemwa to head of its real estate funds division.

He first joined the firm in Jersey in 2015.

Artorius Wealth

The London-based wealth firm has hired three people from UBS.

James Goddard, Helena Pratt and Max Di Lieto have all joined the company’s client team.

Trium Capital

Alternative asset management Trium Capital recruited Clark Fenton as head of multi-strategy solutions in a bid to develop its multi-manager offering.

He joined from RWC Partners where he worked a s a portfolio manager for the Diversified Return fund.

Rathbones

Jemima Gregson has joined Rathbones Group as an investment sales consultant for the west of England.

She will be responsible for building and supporting relationships with advisers in the region.

Gregson was previously at Jupiter Asset Management where she worked as a sales support executive.

Hargreaves Lansdown

The UK-based investment platform has strengthened its equity fund management team.

James Jamieson joins the HL Select team as a fund manager from RBC Global Asset Management to look after the HL Select UK growth Shares fund and the HL Select UK Income Shares fund.

The savings, investment and protection provider announced that Mark Hartigan has confirmed his intention to step down as interim chief executive and a member of the board.

The process to appoint a permanent chief executive is already underway.

Hartigan has agreed that he will remain in his interim role while the search for his successor takes place.

Financial Ombudsman Service

James Dipple-Johnstone has been named deputy chief ombudsman and Karl Khan as chief operating officer of the service.

They will take up their roles by 3 October.

Natixis Investment Managers

Gad Amar has been promoted to head of distribution for western Europe.

Amar joined Natixis IM in October 2021 as international chief product officer.

Canada Life UK

The insurer has hired Cath Goddard as its head of data, insight and Customer relationship management (CRM).

Goddard joins from Aviva, where she was head of data, insight and planning and led customer segmentation, econometrics, customer-led proposition build and innovation for the business.

Crestbridge

The firm has appointed Anne Catherine Grave as country head of Luxembourg.

Prior to joining Crestbridge, Grave was the partner in charge of corporate secretarial services in Deloitte in Luxembourg.

April International

The specialist international private medical insurance provider has hired Agne Gacionyte as UK marketing manager and Roshani Thapa joins as broker sales consultant.

Gacionyte joins from Axa Health, where she held a senior marketing role. Roshani was previously with Aetna International, where she was responsible for providing support to the UK sales and retention teams for SME and large corporate accounts.

Sanlam Wealth

The firm, which will change its name to Atomos from September 2022, has named Paul Gordon as head of medical specialist wealth planners.

Prior to Sanlam Wealth, Gordon spent over 16 years at MacArthur Gordon and was previously at BMA Services for four years.

Boston Multi Family Office

The Isle of Man-headquartered firm has promoted three employees.

Mary Smith has been promoted to client accounting manager within its accounts team.

Helen Hall and Rachael Hughes have both been promoted to senior managers.

Robeco

The investment firm has hired Aliki Rouffiac as sustainable portfolio manager.

Rouffiac joins from Pictet, where she was a multi-asset investment manager.

The asset management firm has made several changes to its senior leadership.

Shinji Inoue has been promoted to president and representative director for Japan, based in Tokyo. He will take over from Kinji Kato, who has been in the role since 2014 and who will become honorary chairman of Natixis IM Japan. Inoue has been at the company since 2008.

Natixis IM has also appointed eight executives to its management committee. They are:

  • Alix Boisaubert, head of global corporate communications;
  • Alain Burneau, general secretary;
  • Fabrice Chemouny, head of Asia Pacific;
  • Audrey Koenig, chief executive of Natixis Wealth Management;
  • Melanie Robinson, global head of client experience;
  • Justin Rosen, global chief compliance officer at Natixis IM;
  • Jean-Marc Sabatier, global chief risk officer at Natixis IM; and,
  • Nathalie Wallace, global head of Sustainable investing.

Franklin Templeton

The global asset manager has hired Patrick Vizzone as managing director and head of agri-food for its Asia Pacific alternatives group, based in Hong Kong.

He joins from ANZ Banking Group, where he served as head of food, beverage and agribusiness and head of Hong Kong coverage.

CCLA

The UK-based responsible investment firm has hired Ben Funnell as head of investment solutions.

He was previously at Man Group, where he worked as chief equity strategist and portfolio manger for equity and multi-asset funds.

Foresters Financial

The life and critical illness protection provider has named Nici Audhlam-Gardiner as UK chief executive.

She will take on the role “in the coming months”, the firm said.

Audhlam-Gardiner was previously chief commercial officer at OneFamily, and before that chief executive of its lifetime mortgages business.

Crestbridge Group

Alex Le Quesne has been promoted to head of governance services at the private equity and real estate services provider.

He has been with the firm for seven years, where he developed the real estate fund services team.

Isio

The UK advice firm has hired Emily McGuire as partner within its investment advisory team.

She spent the last 23 years at Aon in a similar position.

Charles Stanley

The UK investment manager has expanded its IFA distribution team.

Adam Benzimra joins as national sales manager to grow the firm’s presence in the UK intermediary market. He was previously at Brooks Macdonald, where he worked as a business development manager.

Wealth Club

The UK-based investment service has named Charlie Huggins as head of equities.

He will be responsible for the roll out of a discretionary share portfolio service, due at the end of 2022.

He joins from Hargreaves Lansdown where he spent the last decade, including five as a fund manager.

Navigation Wealth Management

Jade Georgiou has become a financial adviser at the firm.

She used to work as a personal banker at Santander, and joined the firm as a trainee adviser three years ago.

Stephen Kavanagh will retire as chief executive of the IFA firm on 29 April 2022 and become the company’s chairman.

Kavanagh has spent 12 years as chief executive.

Kathleen Gallagher, who joined Chase de Vere as a trainee financial adviser in August 2000, will succeed Kavanagh as chief executive.

She was most recently director of advisory services.

Novia Financial

The platform business has named Christina Dolding as director of adviser and customer experience.

Dolding joins Novia from LV=, where she worked in the heritage business for two and a half years.

Prior to that, she spent nearly 13 years at Quilter during which time she held a number of senior roles including head of customer experience and innovation.

Amundi

The asset manager has named Vincent Mortier as chief investment officer.

Mortier has been group deputy chief investment officer of Amundi since 2015.

He succeeds Pascal Blanqué, who has been appointed chairman of the newly created Amundi Institute.

Also, Matteo Germano has been appointed deputy chief investment officer of Amundi.

Germano’s former responsibilities regarding the multi-asset investment platform will be divided as follows: John O’Toole is named head of multi-asset investment solutions and Francesco Sandrini is named head of multi-asset strategies.

Sanlam Private Wealth

Chief executive Penny Lovell has left the business, a spokesperson confirmed to our sister publication Portfolio Adviser.

The wealth arm was sold to funds managed by Oaktree Capital Management in September 2021, with completion expected in April.

Sanlam declined to provide any comment beyond confirming Lovell’s departure.

She joined Sanlam UK in September 2017 from Close Brothers Asset Management, where she was managing director, prior to which she held a similar role at Rothschild Asset Management.

Citi Private Bank

The group has bolstered its UK operation with four hires.

Helen Gammons joins from HSBC Private Bank, where she spent almost seven years – including over four years in the media and entertainment group and prior to that was based in Monaco.

Sehr Askari joins from Standard Chartered Private Bank in London, where she was responsible for marketing a multi-asset platform of products and services to global south Asian and European high net worth and ultra-high net worth clients.

Nadia Kribi joins from Kleinwort Hambros, where she spent 17 years serving some of the bank’s most high profile clients.

Neil Hutchison has joined from Barclays Wealth Management in London, where he worked with UHNW clients and family offices across multiple jurisdictions.

Wren Investment Office

The multi-family office has made three senior and four executive appointments.

Eirian Jones, one of the founders of Wren, has been appointed chief investment officer.

Daniel de Fernando is stepping aside from that role as planned last year, but will remain a non-executive director and a member of the investment committee.

William Drake has been appointed a senior adviser and Robert Mason joins Wren as private equity consultant.

The four additional executive appointments at Wren are as follows: Dan Young joins the client team as client relationship associate director from Stonehage Fleming; Luke Heywood-Jones will be an investment analyst, Roger Windmill has been brought into the operations team and Alice Woods has joined the client relationship team.

Charles Stanley

Richard Kelly has been hired as head of strategic partnerships.

He joins from Brooks MacDonald, where he was also head of strategic partnerships.

Also joining the team to help drive growth in the intermediary market is Laura Mathison as intermediary sales manager.

She was previously at Brooks Macdonald, Nucleus and Standard Life.

Tenet Group

The adviser support network has appointed Simon Broadley as managing director of Tenet&You – its advice business.

Dave Harris has also joined as head of customer acquisitions.

Columbia Threadneedle Investments

The global asset management group has appointed Emmanuel Archampong as head of insurance, Emea.

Archampong joins from Wells Fargo Asset Management, where he was head of insurance business development for all markets outside of the US, a role he has held for the past two years.

Generali

The insurance giant has announced that chairman Gabriele Galateri di Genola will withdraw his name from consideration for the upcoming board renewal.

It said: “The board has conveyed its appreciation for his decision which reflects the intention of the board to select a future chairman who fully meets the independence criteria according to the Italian Corporate Governance Code.”

Schroders Personal Wealth

The advice firm has appointed Rupert Dickinson as an independent non-executive director to its board.

He previously worked at Barclays Bank, joining the group in 2000 and rising to chief executive of Barclays Stockbrokers in 2012. He was also a member of the executive committee of the wealth management division from 2012 until his retirement in 2018.

Dickinson is currently a non-executive director of JP Morgan Elect, Sparrows Capital and Killik and Co.

Crestbridge

The financial services provider has named Ellie Sharples as director, senior compliance officer.

Prior to joining Crestbridge, Sharples spent four years as a senior manager at the Jersey regulator leading a team of regulatory supervisors responsible for assessing Jersey banks compliance with financial services regulations, local and international laws.

Liontrust

David Roberts is to retire from fund management in August. This comes after a career of managing fixed income funds and investment teams that began in 1988.

He joined Liontrust in January 2018 along with Phil Milburn and Donald Phillips to create the Liontrust Global Fixed Income team.

Roberts will increasingly step back from investment management over the next few months and reduce his marketing commitments, with Milburn and Phillips becoming co-heads of the Liontrust Global Fixed Income team.

Milburn will be responsible for macro-economic analysis, while he and Phillips will continue to co-manage the four funds.

Ian Gascoigne, managing director of the partnership, will step down from the wealth manager’s board and as a director on 31 March 2022.

After more than 30 years as an executive of the company and the last 19 years as a board director, Gascoigne will remain with the group on a part time basis in an advisory capacity and will also continue to serve as a trustee of the St. James’s Place Charitable Foundation.

Following Gascoigne’s retirement, Peter Edwards will continue to be responsible for the UK partnership and Iain Rayner will remain responsible for key relationships with the partnership’s largest businesses and the Asia operations.

Both will then report directly to Andrew Croft.

Schroders Personal Wealth (SPW)

The advice business has appointed Sean Ingram as chief marketing officer.

Prior to joining SPW, Ingram was most recently at Openwork, where he worked as its marketing strategy director focusing on revenue generation.

Ed Colyer also joins as head of product and Propositions and Dougy Watt will be head of client insights and client experience.

Colyer has recently been consulting at Scottish Widows, prior to this he was head of proposition and business development at Close Brothers Asset Management.

Watt was previously head of insight and planning at Openwork.

Lombard Odier

The international wealth manager has named Marc Braendlin as head of Latin American markets, with a special focus on Brazil.

He will be based in Zurich and will report to Stephen Kamp, head of southern Europe and Latin America for private clients.

Most recently, Braendlin was head of Latin America Zurich at Pictet.

Holborn Assets

The international financial advice firm has named Lourens Reichert as managing partner for Africa.

He was previously senior wealth manager and senior partner at Holborn Assets based in South Africa.

Abrdn

The asset manager has hired Paul Titterton as head of digital solutions for its personal wealth business.

He was previously managing director of premier banking at Barclays UK.

Carmignac

Martial Godet has been named as global head of sales.

He joins Carmignac from BNP Paribas where he spent most of his career, most recently as head of advisory, execution and sustainable investment within the wealth management arm of the bank.

IQ-EQ

Simon Scott has been named as managing director for the Isle of Man.

Prior to joining IQ-EQ, he was managing director, Isle of Man country head at Barclays.

PraxisIFM

The financial services group has made 45 promotions across its global network of offices.

Hong Kong-based Cindy Cheng and Novia Lu, responsible for business development, have both been promoted.

In Guernsey, Jason Le Page has been promoted to associate director of business systems, while Sandra Francis has been promoted to associate director for tax.

In London, Joshua Gallienne has been promoted to associate director of corporate services. While in Jersey, Sarah Denoual has been promoted to associate director in the private wealth and corporate team.

Other senior promotions include Gary Bratcov to senior compliance manager in Geneva and Tomeca Campbell to senior group finance manager in Jersey.

In the UAE, Charlie Rix was made senior manager in funds and corporate services. In Guernsey, Jodie Travers and Tom Zierer were both promoted to senior trust manager.

An additional 34 members of staff across four jurisdictions also received promotions.

Crestbridge

James Young has been appointed to the role of chief change officer within Crestbridge’s senior leadership team.

He was previously group head of technology and change.

PGIM

The global investment management business of Prudential Financial has named Eugenia Unanyants-Jackson to the newly created role of global head of ESG.

Having joined PGIM fixed income in 2020 as the firm’s inaugural head of ESG research, Unanyants-Jackson was most recently charged with continuing to integrate ESG considerations into all aspects of the fixed income investment process, analysing ESG risks and opportunities and assessing potential negative or positive impacts on the environment and society.

Canaccord Genuity Wealth Management

Harry Plunkett has been named as wealth planning adviser in the firm’s Worcester office.

He previously worked for Morrinson Wealth Management and St James’s Place Wealth Management.

Hilbert Investment Solutions

The London- and Paris-based structured products specialist has appointed Andrew Darfoor as non-executive chairman with immediate effect.

He was previously group chief executive of Alexander Forbes, and before that chief executive at Sun Life and Old Mutual in New York, Boston and London.

Pimfa

The trade association has named Nick Bettison to its board.

He is a partner at Redmayne Bentley.
